Welcome to the new Some Blind Alleys

Some Blind Alleys, the online journal of new prose, will shortly resume operation. We’re looking forward to publishing great new Irish and international writing. Importantly, thanks to financial assistance from the Arts Council, we’ll be paying contributors.

Some Blind Alleys hopes to be a home for well-written, fascinating prose, and will publish regularly. Publication will begin in a matter of weeks. It’s anticipated that over time, as contributors become more aware of our journal and our editorial interests, the frequency with which the site is updated with new content will increase.

Visitors can follow Some Blind Alleys via our free newsletter, or on Facebook or Twitter. There will also be a separate column on the site, News, for updates about events, creative writing courses, and other points of interest.

If you would like to submit work for consideration, please read our submission guidelines.

We’re delighted to be back, grateful for the invaluable financial assistance from the Arts Council, and we hope you enjoy what you find here.
