
About Greg Baxter
Greg Baxter is an essayist and fiction writer who lives in Dublin. His memoir, A Preparation for Death, will be published in July 2010 by Penguin Ireland. He worked as a Creative Writing tutor in the Irish Writers’ Centre from 2006 to 2009, before launching the Workshops at Some Blind Alleys. He has published essays and short stories in journals such as the Dublin Review (issues 15, 27, 29, 30, 32, and 34), Cincinnati Review, and Southwest Review. He regularly reviews for the Irish Times.
He taught creative writing and literature at Louisiana State University, where he also earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.
From 1999 to 2002, he worked as an editor at the Southern Review, one of the world’s leading literary quarterlies.
